I received the following sad notice from the Navy today....
"Bell David (Service No X14281) RNZN Retd Commander 1952-1987. On Tuesday 18 September 2007.
Peacefully at home after a an illness courageously bourne; aged 72 years. Cherrished husband of Rosemary. Belovered Dad of Alicen and Laurie-Ann. Belovered granddad of Richard John, Sarnera 'Til we meet again'.
No flowers by request. Donations to the West Auckland Hospice homecare, PO Box 45-181, Te Atatu Peninsular, auckland, would be appreciated.
The funeral will be held in St Michael and All Angels Church, 425 Great North road, Henderson, auckland, on Monday 24 September, 2007 at 2 pm."
David was a pretty good "Pay Bob" and an excellent boss.
