Hi, I dont know whether you can help me, but I am trying to find my father. I last saw him in 1976 , when I was 16, when my mother brought myself and my brother to the U.K. and since then I have lost touch.

He served on the Taranaki as a Petty Officer, and was known as "RITA". He served with Terry Brosnahan, who is my Godfather. I met up with Terry in March of this year at his home in Mount Maunganui, and he last saw Rita approximately four years ago, and did not get a forwarding address from him.

Would it be be possible to display a notice in case anyone knows of his whereabouts?.

I am not looking for any money or commitments, I just would like to know if he is still alive, and if he wishes to get in touch or not.
Please can you help.

Hello I would just like to inform you for your update that I have found my dad and managed to spend some wonderful quality time with him earlier this year. It is with regret I write to inform you that he died in March 2008. I would like to thank all for the help that was given during our search. Special thanks and love to my godfather his friend and shipmate Terry Brosnahan who was instrumental toward our reunion.
